Lagos Security Fund Donates Patrol Vehicle, Security Equipment To LASU
The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated a patrol vehicle and other security equipment to Lagos State University (LASU) to strengthen security operations and enhance the protection of lives and property on campus.
The donation, made on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, included a brand-new patrol vehicle and 40 pairs of security boots.
The security items were formally received on behalf of the university by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, who was represented by the Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Abiodun Fatai-Abatan. He was joined by the Chief Security Coordinator, CSP Oluwole Ojo, alongside senior officers of the LASU Security Unit.
The presentation took place at the MRC Hall of the Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM), Ikeja, during a security summit organised by the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Tertiary Education and sponsored by the LSSTF.
Speaking during the event, Dr. Fatai-Abatan commended the Lagos State Government and the LSSTF for the support, describing the donation as a major boost to the university’s security architecture and emergency response capacity.
He noted that the gesture would further enhance efforts to safeguard students, staff, and visitors, while strengthening overall campus safety.
The donation highlighted the Lagos State Government’s commitment to improving security infrastructure across tertiary institutions in the state and reinforced LASU’s drive to maintain a safe and conducive learning environment.
